The goal of this project was to embrace the cast of high school students performing in the show and create character pieces and parts that felt personal to them. As part of the process, the cast and I created weapons and armor out of cardboard, which they used as their characters transitioned from the real world into the DND world. A large inspiration from this show was real DND character sketches from high school students, embracing the nature of the script from the words on the page to the actors onstage.
